Artemis Summer Camp 2013

On 11 & 12 June 2013 the annual Summer Camp event of ARTEMIS Industry Association had taken place. This years’ destination to work on the future directions of the ARTEMIS programme has been the INDRA building in Madrid, Spain.

Participation of the ARTEMIS Summer Camp of 2013 was on personal invitation only and Mondragon Goi Eskola Politeknikoa (MGEP) has been invited to participate in the meeting. Miren Illarramendi, one of the researchers of the Embedded System’s Group of MGEP has participated on the event.

During this year’s Summer Camp the aim was to work on the future directions of the embedded systems and ECS-JU programme for the New JU on Electronic Components and Systems. Therefore the ARTEMIS Summer Camp 2013 focuses on two topics:

June 11

On the first day, the ARTEMIS-IA community worked the Embedded Systems/ Cyber-physical systems research and innovation challenges to prepare inputs on the 2014 content and structure of the MASP and the AWP documents.

June 12

On the second day, experts of AENEAS and EPoSS joined the meeting to discuss the cross-cutting challenges over all three domains that are united in the new ECS-JU.

The ARTEMIS Summer Camp 2013 has been a high level meeting for the European strategy on embedded systems and was a unique opportunity for MGEP to debate with our peers. It was a very good place to give our say on the strategic research issues that should be challenged in 2014.
