Second ITEA2 ACCELERATE project consortium-meeting held in San Sebastian

The second ITEA2 ACCELERATE project consortium-meeting was held on November 20th and 21st in San Sebastian. The meeting took place in room F107 of Mondragon Unibertsitatea Galarreta Campus based in Orona-ideo: Innovation city (Orona S.Coop Hernani). The meeting was organized by Mondragon Unibertsitatea´s Software Engineering and Web Engineering research group and gathered 20 people from 13 different partners (AAC Global, Elektrobit, F-Secure, Inno-W, VTT, Beia, Siveco, Sirris, CogniStreamer, Tobagos, Sivsa, Planet Media and Mondragon Unibertsitatea) and 5 countries (Finland, Romania, Belgium, France and Spain).

The ACCELERATE project is included in the European ITEA2 Call 7 program and is being funded by the Spanish Government through MINETUR´s public call  Acción Estratégica Economía y Sociedad Digital (AEESD).

The project is led by VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland and will extend until 2016. Under the title “A Platform for the Acceleration of go-to market in the ICT Industry”, the project aims to create services based on technological innovation, advanced processes and new software technologies that will enable massive adoption of acceleration know-how in the European technological industry. The project will address the “European Paradox” – great science, poor marketable innovations.
During the meeting Accelerate partners presented the innovation acceleration methodologies, tools and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) identified so far in the project. Several use case experiments in progress in different domains and countries were also outlined. Those use cases experiment on rapid go to market innovation approaches. The group also prepare for the next ITEA review due February 2015.
