The Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences has been defined from its very origin by its mission to promote the Basque Country. The Magisterium was founded in 1976 under the guise of educating Basque teachers, and since then, although social reality has changed greatly and the functions of the faculty have expanded, it can be said that the original mission is still alive.
